Although at Painted Primrose we are best known for our luxury wedding florals, we also love creating bouquets for elopements. We adore the elopement trend! And if that’s the right fit for you and your partner, we want to be a part of it! As a Colorado elopement florist, we create gorgeous bouquets to satisfy your desire for beautiful florals while keeping your wedding simple.

Rocky Mountain National Park Elopement

This fall, we had the opportunity to design elopement florals for Brenda and Patrick. Their elopement was a beautiful ceremony in Rocky Mountain National Park. For Colorado elopement florals, we begin the process as we would with any other couple, with a consultation. This discussion can be in person or on the phone. In the meeting, we hear out the couple’s vision for their florals. And yes, the scope of the work is smaller than a traditional wedding. But we can still be as extravagant, bold, or creative with the bridal bouquet as any other wedding.

For Brenda and Patrick, their palette was soft. They wanted peaches and pinks with subtle greens. We think the effect was quite stunning next to the muted natural color scheme of the stunning Rocky Mountains.

Since an elopement is typically a minimal crew of supporters, vendors do not attend like at a traditional wedding. So, the couple themselves or someone close to them comes to our storefront in Niwot to pick up the bouquet on the wedding day. Then the couple takes off to their destination, whether that be RMNP like Brenda and Patrick, or somewhere else in colorful Colorado.

Thanks to amazing photographers like Nina Larsen of Larsen Photo Co. who captured Brenda and Patrick’s wedding, we get to see the final product.

We will leave you with one last shot from the elopement. We can’t get enough of this sweet detail image of the bouquet, the rings, a journal containing the vows, and RMNP postcards Brenda and Patrick wrote to one another!
