Colorado has its share of beautiful wedding venues. But Lone Hawk Farm in Longmont, Colorado was a new-to-me wedding venue I had the pleasure of doing a wedding at in July. Melissa and Matt wanted Painted Primrose to create their Lone Hawk Farm wedding florals. And I was excited to take on a new venue and this wonderful couple.
July 20, 2019, we celebrated Melissa and Matt’s union. And in true Colorado fashion, the weather turned out in full force, and there was quite the storm! They had to move the party inside, but that didn’t stop the wedding from being beautiful.
Lone Hawk Farm — a spectacular Longmont wedding venue — is an actual working organic farm just 10 miles north of Boulder. To go with the rustic farm feel, Melissa wanted the flowers to have a vintage flair. She even collected all of the milk glasses and vintage vases we used for the centerpieces.
Melissa’s color palette was simple and elegant —white, dusty blue, and greenery. Her bouquet was full of a variety of white blooms, with a sparkling brooch she wanted to include on the ribbon. We also created some spectacular pieces to go at the entry. Perhaps the real star though was the stunning arch at Lone Hawk Farm, with natural vines steadily growing up towards the top. It was so romantic!
As you can see from the pictures, the buildings and the countryside surrounding the venue were gorgeous. Lone Hawk Farm was the perfect place for Melissa and Matt to declare their love and commitment in front of friends and family.
Thank you so much to Lone Hawk Farm for the beautiful venue, the fantastic photographer Alyssa Reinhold, and especially Melissa + Matt for trusting Painted Primrose to be a part of their big day!
