Megan and Mike: Skyview Real Wedding

Megan and Mike, *sigh* every time I think about this day I swoon. The couple, the location, the color scheme and the details were all killer. I believe seeing wedding venues “in action” is a great way to get a feel for the place. I have done over 1500 weddings, so usually, I am familiar with your venue before you even book me! This makes things super convenient for you! Plus, showing off my work “in action” through real weddings is also a great way for you to see what florals in your venue could look like. The best way to do this is through featuring real weddings right here on the blog! And this couple really went all out and you could say I’m obsessed!

Megan and Mike

Megan and Mike got married on a beautiful day in October. The couple chose Skyview as their wedding venue. And I am really seriously obsessed with their day. They chose a beautiful brown, copper and earthy color scheme. Not only are those colors gorgeous, but they are also so trendy! The earth tones were beautiful against the mountains and the backdrop. For her bridal, Megan wanted a statement. And we were happy to deliver! Megan had a big, beautiful super romantic bouquet. I also accented it with beautiful rust colored silk tails. However, that wasn’t my favorite part. My favorite part, far and way, was the veil Megan requested. That was her statement piece. She had a gorgeous hairpiece, which I accented with cascading petals all the way down the veil.

Also, one of my favorite parts of their day was Megan’s stunning bridesmaids. She killed the mix and match trend!

Skyview has a very gorgeous ceremony location. It is high up and frames the mountains beautifully. The couple wanted to accent the view, not overpower it, so they went with a very low, lush, bohemian arrangement. They also incorporated some gorgeous vintage rugs!

After the outdoor ceremony, the couple moved inside for their gorgeous reception. The sweetheart table the couple designed is still one of my favorites ever. It was so beautiful, and the signage accented it perfectly. For the tables, Megan and Mike chose similar, but smaller centerpieces to accent the head table. They kept the boho theme going by incorporating lots of pampas grass, texture and earthy colors.
