This past March, Painted Primrose had the incredible opportunity to participate in a Masterwork Workshop. Host Aflātis and special guests Vow of the Wild led a three-day workshop with the goal of teaching wedding photographers how to integrate videography into their offerings. So how did this Boulder event florist come into play?
Adam of Aflātis and Kaitlin of Kaitlin Shea Weddings & Events pulled together a team of some of the best wedding vendors in the region to stage a mock wedding. This mock wedding was more than a stylized shoot. They designed the workshop for the budding videographers to learn how to tell a love story through film. And it was an honor to be a part of the crew, providing florals for the whole event.
As a Boulder event florist, we were able to create a cake topper, centerpieces, and pieces to go on a mountain arch for the ceremony. All the vendors there were a delight to work with and we loved being a part of the process.
The workshop was on March 12th-14th, which if you recall, was when Denver experienced the “bomb cyclone” blizzard with extreme winds. But while the weather was fierce, we carried on with most of our scheduled activities. The people who attended the workshop had the opportunity to film the mock wedding and edit it so they left the workshop with a completed short video. Everyone had a great time, and the photographers who attended added a new skill in their tool belts.
We were so thankful to contribute to this great event! And, we look forward to being a part of future Masterworks Workshops!
